Newgen Software Q2 Earnings Fall 41% Sequentially, Shares Drop 3%

Newgen Software Technologies Ltd. posted weaker earnings for the June quarter. The company’s consolidated net profit fell 41% sequentially to Rs 63 crore. As a result, its shares slipped about 3%.

At 3:20 pm on July 16, Newgen shares traded at Rs 541.95, about 3% lower than earlier. The company reported earnings before interest, tax, depreciation and amortisation of Rs 56 crore, giving an EBITDA margin of 15.7%.

Annuity revenue grew 14% year‑on‑year to Rs 254 crore. Subscription revenue was Rs 146 crore, up 21% from the prior year, and the SaaS segment grew 40% YoY.

CEO Virender Jeet said the SaaS and license subscription revenue grew 40% YoY to Rs 60 crore, highlighting a strong recurring revenue base. The firm added 10 new customer logos and won deals in banking, insurance and enterprise content management.
