Titan Company Ltd announced its first‑quarter 2027 results on Friday, showing a consolidated net profit of ₹1,699 crore, a 65% increase from the ₹1,030 crore earned in the same period last year. The earnings surpassed analysts’ estimate of ₹1,267 crore. The company’s profit rise reflects strong demand across its product lines.

Total revenue from operations climbed 24.3% year‑on‑year to ₹18,101 crore, up from ₹14,564 crore a year earlier. Market analysts had projected a higher figure of ₹19,700 crore, but the company still delivered a solid top‑line growth.

The jewellery portfolio grew 43% to ₹18,253 crore, driven by festival sales and high demand for Akshaya Tritiya items. Watches revenue increased 21% to ₹1,543 crore, benefiting from premiumisation and a continued preference for analog timepieces, while smart‑watch sales dipped by a single digit.

"Q1FY27 was a strong opening quarter for us," said Managing Director Ajoy Chawla. "Our consumer businesses registered 40% year‑on‑year growth, and through innovation and design‑led differentiation, we continue to deliver premium value to customers across jewellery, watches, eyecare and emerging businesses."

India’s business grew 38% to ₹16,943 crore. The combined Tanishq, Mia and Zoya segment reached ₹15,502 crore, also up 38%, while Caratlane posted a 40% increase, achieving ₹1,441 crore in sales.

International jewellery revenue jumped 136% to ₹1,309 crore, with strong traction in North America and double‑digit growth in the GCC region. The Tanishq, Mia and Caratlane combined international sales rose 65% to ₹913 crore, and Damas core business generated ₹396 crore.

The company recorded an EBIT of ₹2,360 crore, giving a margin of 12.9%. In the quarter it opened 33 new stores in India and added two new locations in the GCC region.

Emerging businesses, including SKINN Fragrances, IRTH Women’s Bags and Taneira, saw varied performance. Revenue for the segment grew 18% to ₹128 crore, but the segment posted a net loss of ₹39 crore during the June quarter.

Fragrances maintained strong volume momentum across the Skinn and Fastrack perfume lines, while IRTH Women’s Bags enjoyed robust volume growth and increasing brand salience. Taneira’s revenue remained flat for the quarter.

Total income for all businesses combined grew in Q1FY27. The company’s shares closed lower at ₹4,944 on the NSE, down 1.08%.
